Definian, a leading provider of comprehensive data and AI solutions and a Renovus Capital Partners portfolio company, announced today that Michael Patterson has joined the company as Senior Vice President, Databricks & AI Platforms.
Michael Patterson brings more than 30 years of data and technology experience, spanning enterprise architecture, data management, consulting leadership, and strategic partnerships. Most recently, he served as vice president of AI Data Platforms and Analytics at Perficient, where he led the firm’s Databricks practice.
Steve Lyerly, chief executive officer of Definian, said Patterson’s appointment reflects the company’s commitment to deepening its work with Databricks:

An established voice in the Databricks community, Patterson led a session titled “From Second Gear to Full Throttle: Unlocking Trapped Value in Your Databricks Investment” at the 2026 Databricks Data + AI Summit. At Definian, Patterson will bring his passion for cars to the company’s automotive work, which includes two automotive-focused offerings in its Databricks portfolio of ROAD, SIGNAL, and PULSE.
