Matt Moyles

Matt brings over 20 years of software engineering experience to Definian. His work is rooted in the UNIX philosophy: keep it simple, compose small tools into powerful systems, and automate everything. He cuts through complexity to build reliable systems across the entire stack—from large-scale data pipelines and backend infrastructure to clean, intuitive interfaces. Matt also specializes in integrating artificial intelligence into resilient, automated systems.

Outside of engineering, Matt is an avid reader and writer with a deep interest in history, philosophy, theology, and classic literature. He lives on a large wooded property in the country with his family, where he spends his time gardening, building trails, and tinkering with small engines.
